[00:00:01] Hey, hey. I'm in the car and I'm driving. And I said, I'm not driving to my car. [00:00:11] What should you ask and who should you ask? [00:00:15] The question is, should you ask your customers what they want or should you ask yourself what you want? [00:00:24] It's a bit like the oxygen mask. If you are not first taking care of yourself, then there's no way you're going to be taking care of your customers or your clients or your business or your family or your spouse or your dog. [00:00:38] So I'm listening to Ryan Levesque talking with. And that's like, L, A, V, E, S, Q, U, E. Can't believe I know how to spell that. And he's talking with Amy Porterfield on her podcast. I'm a big fan of Amy Porterfield. I'm also a big fan of Ryan Levesque. Ryan Levesque wrote a book called Ask so did I, by the way. [00:00:58] And he's saying in the book, ask your customers what they want. And now, many years later, he's in this interview with Amy Porterfield. He had this big, like, transformation, come to Jesus moment. And he's asking, wow, I don't think I ever asked myself, what do I want or what do I need or how do I take care of myself? And so he's finally coming to the realization that he needs to take care of himself. [00:01:25] And this is that. The reason I hit pause on the podcast and hit record on my audio recorder while I'm on the A2 about to gonna go see a friend in Haarlem today. [00:01:36] And I'm thinking the year of you. [00:01:40] So if you're following along in my. In my journey. [00:01:44] Sorry, if you know me, you know, also, I can't say the word journey without making fun of it. So if you're following along in my story, you'll know that. It's October. [00:01:54] I have just moved from our little town where we've been for 10 years, and we just moved to Utrecht. [00:02:02] Yes, I spit all over the place as I say that name. U, T, R E, C H, T. Utrecht in the center of the Netherlands. It is gorgeous. And next year we're moving to Italy. Or at least that's the plan. So a big change is going on, right? And with the big personal changes come big sort of. Wow, I almost said the word corporate. [00:02:20] Who uses such a word? [00:02:22] Professional, shall I say, or career or work or whatever you want to call it. And those changes are a coming as well. [00:02:30] And I've been doing a pretty good job of getting it down to three things. And recently the three things have been the year of you, Bradley, public speaking. [00:02:43] And tacos. I know the tacos one is a little weird, but, you know, whatever. But for the moment, what's that number one, the year of you. And why do I keep going on about the year of you? And it's basically what Ryan Levesque is saying. It's the oxygen mask. It's taking care of yourself first and having and planning the coming year to be maybe your best year yet, or at least better than this past year. [00:03:14] It's the next version of you. [00:03:16] And how do I want to do that? Well, there are. Let me count the ways. There are multiple ways. And one of them. It's just so silly. But I've almost got it down to a keychain. Yes. A keychain that you have a physical keychain on your physical keys which leads you into your physical house or place of work or whatever, but you have something physical that you have with you on a regular basis that reminds you of your year, that help you with your year, that help build your year, help make it the best year, the year you're ready for. [00:04:01] So that's the year of you. You can find out [email protected] yoy like Year of you. Or you could yoy. Did I not start this earlier? But the letter Y. The letter O. The letter y.repossible.com yoy to learn more about the year of you program or challenge or experiment or whatever I'm gonna call it. But basically, if you come away with nothing else from the Year of youf, what if you had a keychain? [00:04:36] Yes, a keychain. Bradley, are you talking about your 14 advanced degrees and your years of experience and your 7,000 videos and 40 books and you're down to a keychain? Seriously. And I would say. Seriously. [00:04:54] Yes. So seriously question mark? Yes, seriously, exclamation point. Because I'm transcribing this and I gotta make it clear. So there you have it. What if just a keychain. [00:05:08] Just a keychain. [00:05:10] What if your next year you had a keychain that you would see every single day of your life? I thought about a background on your phone, which is fine, you can do that too. But honestly, I don't know. I want a background phone, picture of my wife, of my dog, of my trip to Italy, whatever, right? So how does that feel? [00:05:35] What if you had a keychain and. Because then I know your next question well, Bradley, what does the keychain sound how is it designed? What is it all about? If you look on my YouTube channel, you'll see in the posts I have some photos of my keychain that I want to use for 20, 27. [00:05:52] And I'd love to hear if this crazy idea of a keychain is something that you think could be something for you, concrete, that would help you build out, that would help you plan, help you strategize, help you have a memento, a keepsake, a. What could it be? A guiding light, A northern star that is guiding you, that is holding your hand, or maybe holding in your hand a keychain. I know I've got to find a keychain manufacturer that's going to help me make these because I've gone so far down the keychain path because I've had a poster, I've had a book, I've had a postcard, I've had. Did I mention a poster? I've had. [00:06:44] What else? [00:06:45] A phone background. I got a song. [00:06:47] And the book was the biggie, right? A book is a big one. If you want to do more, we can talk about the book, but the book is really. That's a big one. That's more of a commitment. Whereas the keychain. [00:06:58] I'm gonna need you to design it. I'm not gonna design it for you. You're gonna need to design it and you're gonna say, bradley, I don't know how to design a keychain. How do I do it? And I'm gonna help you do it with guidance of an interview process where we're going to get out. For example, what does it say on the keychain? Is it just one word? Is it a tagline? [00:07:20] It's got to be short, right? Because it's got to fit on a keychain and you don't want to have all this tiny text that's on your keychain that you, like, have to squint to read or put on your readers and read your keychain. No, no, it's going to be this gorgeous. [00:07:35] Is it metal? Is it plastic? Is it glass? Is it gold? Is it silver? Is it shiny? Is it matte? [00:07:43] Like M A T T E? Is it. What is it? What does your keychain look like? That is in your hand, physical thing in your physical hand for the coming year. [00:07:56] That is your beacon, your beacon of the year, Your. [00:08:02] Oh, what's that word? I almost had it. I almost had it like the American Indians had it. [00:08:09] Wow. I was gonna say the word tchotchke. But tchotchke is, like, a terrible word, right? [00:08:13] No. Oh, I almost had it. Or the first nation. Was it first nation in Canada? [00:08:19] I can't remember what they're called. It's like nation or one nation or first nation. I can't remember the words on the tip of my tongue. [00:08:25] Okay. If you can think of that word for me, I'd love to hear it. Because you probably know what I'm talking about and I don't, but it's something that, like, Indians had or American. I don't know what I'm supposed to say. I'm sorry, I don't live in the US Anymore. I'm not very politically correct and I'm not even going to apologize. I just don't know. [00:08:44] I just don't know. [00:08:46] So I'm also digressing because I can't think of that word and it's bugging me. So, anyway, okay, there you have it. I am clearly losing my track of focus because I'm still driving, and I hope that this resonates with you. So let me know what you think. [00:09:03] If you were to create a keychain and. Yes, I'm really talking about a keychain. Seriously? Yes, seriously. We're really talking about a keychain. And I'll try to link in the description of this YouTube post here to another post where you can see a picture of my keychain. Oh, I didn't even mention rubberized. That's another option. Right. [00:09:24] So plastic or silver or metal or like that acrylic. That's kind of cool. Or is it like rubberized? Rubberized and bendable. [00:09:33] That's kind of the one I like, except they kind of get dirty and they're hard to clean. Anyway, clearly I've thought about this for a while, and I would love to hear what you think about the idea of a keychain. [00:09:47] That would help you. [00:09:49] Give you some power, give you some guidance, give you some confidence, give you some clarity, give you some courage for the coming year. I've got mine, and I can already tell you what it says. It says guard. [00:10:04] G, E A U. It's a whole other topic. Go is the name of my gut. G E A U is not go like G O, but go. G, E, A U. Because that's the name of my gut, and my gut makes decisions. My gut says it's go time, or my gut says let it go. G, E, A, U. Right. So that's my keychain, and my keychain is rubberized, and it has A little Vespa on it because we're moving to Italy and it has, I don't know, blue sky and puffy white clouds. I really like puffy white clouds. [00:10:35] And I'm also in the Netherlands and we live in Utrecht. [00:10:39] And that's it. [00:10:41] So maybe a little bit of Utrecht on the keychain, but you can't make it too complicated, right? It's gotta stay simple. All right, I wanna hear from you. What do you think of this crazy keychain idea? And what do you have an idea of the design of your keychain right now? That it would be. I'd love to hear it. I know mine. But do you know yours? Because I can't help you with yours. Well, I can help interview you to help yours. But you know your design, you know your word, you know your path forward. And even though you say you don't, you actually do. It's just a question of discovering it or uncovering it or unraveling the junk that's sitting on top of it. Like the junk and the dust in an attic. And you know that gem is there. You know when you pull away the socks and you pull away the photo album and you're going to find that one little thing that is your upcoming year and that is your guiding light. [00:11:38] I'm Bradley Schrobineau. It is not Thursday. This is not Thursday Thunder. In fact, it might even be called Meditative Monday. I might even call it, I don't know, Highway Monday. That has no alliteration. [00:11:50] I'm going to stop now while I'm sort of ahead and before I dig myself in a hole. And by the way, yes, I'm driving. Don't turn me in. I'm doing audio, I swear. Alright, thanks for listening. Thanks for watching. Subscribe. Do the thing like. But what I really would love is a comment. I would love a comment if you have an idea about your keychain or even if you just like the idea of a keychain for your upcoming gear, if you like that, or if you like the idea better of a postcard or a five phone background or whatever. But what do you think of the keychain? All right, bye for now. [00:12:22] I swear I'll hit pause without crashing. Bye. [00:12:33] Okay, I'm still driving. I know, I know, it's terrible. I'm a terrible person. [00:12:40] Hey. [00:12:41] So again, Ryan Levesque and Amy Porterfield. [00:12:44] Wow. If this was not the interview to the interview of the month. [00:12:50] So one thing he said, which I really struggle with, he said, like, what do who has the money? Which is kind of interesting. It was kind of brutal. But he's like, you know, right now there's a disproportionate amount of wealth sharing, right? Like the top have loads of money and the bottom does not and blah, blah, blah, right? So he's like, what if you have, if you have some money, what do you, what do you want? What do you. In other words, he's kind of like turning this and in your service providing or in your product creation, what? Because if you're bought, if you're offering at the lower end, if you're offering some cheap thing or some easy thing or some just informational thing, then you're gonna, your competition might be an AI bot, right? So he's saying though, what about a high touch, high value VIP version of this service? And now I'm thinking, I'm thinking out loud, by the way. I'm thinking of the keychain. [00:13:51] And yeah, I'm still on the keychain. And what about a super high end version of the keychain? Because I'm gonna get people like, remember my friend Spencer? And he's like, Bradley, I've got, you know, five minutes and 20 bucks or 20 bucks and five minutes. I can't remember what he said. And what if somebody said, I don't even care, I don't want to do anything for it, I don't want to, I want you to make it for me. [00:14:14] And so what if I need some information, right? I need some input. But what if people find easier than, I don't know, filling out a form or whatever? And that would be an interview. And I've done this several times with people and I interview them, or if you want to call it more, more chatty way, you can just say, I'm having a chat with people. [00:14:35] So I'm having this sort of discussion with people and throughout I'm asking questions and I'm hinting at ideas and I'm pulling information out of them in the form of an interview, in the form of a chat. I've done this while walking in the woods once with a friend and I've got a beautiful interview for her. And so what if this were my product and we had, I offered the interview, we have a chat for an hour. So that's all you need to do. All you need to do is get on Zoom with me and we're going to talk for an hour and I'm going to ask questions. And I'm not talking about public, it's not going on my YouTube channel or whatever. This is private. [00:15:12] And this is how I'm going to get the information out of you that you need to help you create your keychain for the coming year. And I know I keep going on about the keychain thing, but hear me out. [00:15:27] I think the keychain, I think I'm onto something here because again, of the physical. Because it's custom, because it's yours, it is yours for you. It's not to sell, it's not to show off. It's your special thing. Maybe it's even a secret, right? And so what is that? [00:15:44] And how are you going to get it done? And if you say, I don't have time, but I have loads of money, or I don't have time, but I don't feel like doing it, and I'd happily spend some money, like, I mean, it could become a joke, right? Like, what if it were like, the $500 keychain and you're walking around next year and you're like, yeah, that's my $500 keychain? People would be like, what? First of all, that would be like, the best marketing ever. Because if somebody says, that's a $500 keychain, seriously, you spent $500 on a keychain. Tell me more, right? [00:16:15] And then that would sell my product. So I'm a little bit talking meta here, where these are my ideas and this is how it helped me. But also a you think about, like, the ultimate VIP version of your business, and what are you offering and what is it about and how can you make it work? Okay, I have zero minutes to my destination. I can't believe I'm again recording while driving. I have arrived in the gorgeous city of Haarlem with two A's. H A A R L E M in the Netherlands. Oh, I just missed my spot. I'm going to back up and I've got to go because I've got things to do and I've got to stop recording while I'm driving. Driving. All right, bye. Bye, everybody. [00:16:58] So that's it. If you want a 500 keychain, you know, you know where to go. [00:17:04] Bye for now.
