Episode Transcript

[00:00:01] 500 days. [00:00:04] No missed days. [00:00:08] 33,694 minutes. Almost 800 days total logged. [00:00:15] You'd think that meant I had a deep revelation or a breakthrough, right? Nope. Most days it was just me sitting, breathing, wondering if it was working. [00:00:29] Here's what the pro meditators say. [00:00:33] There is no such thing as a bad meditation. [00:00:37] I didn't get here because every session was magical. [00:00:41] I got here because I showed up on the days it felt boring, busy, pointless, or even annoying. [00:00:50] There's this quote I love. [00:00:52] You should meditate for 20 minutes a day. [00:00:55] Unless you're too busy. Then you should meditate for an hour. [00:01:01] And the thing is, it's true. [00:01:04] The streak. It's not about streaking. [00:01:08] It's about remembering who I want to be. [00:01:12] It's not for social media. It's not for anyone else. It's for me. [00:01:19] So what's your version of that? Daily commitment? [00:01:23] Writing, Walking, Stretching, Silence. [00:01:27] Do it daily, not because you have to, but because the future you will thank the present you for showing up. [00:01:41] I'm Bradley Charbonneau, and this is is Thursday thunder. And today's storm is made of silence.
