Thursday.
[00:00:08] Speaker B: Thursday morning.
Going for a little Thunder and the Repossible podcast. I'm Bradley Schrobano. Today we are talking about the villain.
The unseen, perhaps unrecognized, perhaps hidden, secret shadow villain. I have some notes. I'm going to read from them partly which is very different if you watch this every week. I'm Bradley Schraviner. Repossible Podcast and Thursday Thunder. Today we're talking about villains. There's the hero. That's who you want to be. And there's the villain. That's who often we are. Here we go. You ready? This is all in part of breaking through. Of who will you be next? How do we grow? How do we progress? How do we succeed? Ready? Here we go. Where's Pepper? Oh, Pepper's right there.
Okay.
Today I want to introduce you to nine characters who might quietly be sabotaging your progress.
These are not fantasy creatures or far off villains. They are the inner voices, habits and patterns that keep us from becoming who we truly want to be.
They live in three distinct realms, each one representing the shadow side of the qualities we seek most.
Clarity, courage, and confidence.
Let's begin.
The storm of chaos.
The shadow of clarity.
The storm of chaos.
This realm is full of distraction, mental clutter and analysis paralysis.
If you've ever struggled to focus or finish what you start, you've likely met one of these characters.
Overthinking Oliver.
He's constantly analyzing, rethinking, and spinning in circles.
He means well, but he keeps you stuck.
Distraction Danny.
Easily pulled in a hundred directions. He thrives on shiny objects and avoids deep focus.
Perpetual planning. Paula loves planning, but never gets to the doing.
Always preparing, never producing.
Ouch. That was the storm of chaos.
The shadow world of clarity.
How you feeling? I know.
Next up, the cocoon of comfort.
And this is the shadow of current.
This realm feels cozy, safe, and familiar, but it's deceptive. It convinces us to stay where we are rather than step into what's possible.
Fearful Fiona.
She sees risk in every direction and would rather stay still then get hurt.
Reluctant Ron, full of hesitation, always waiting for more certainty before taking the next step.
I got some fearful Fiona going on Someday.
Sam.
Always pushing dreams into the future. Not yet is his favorite phrase.
That was the cocoon of comfort.
Distraction. Danny, anyone?
Cocoon of comfort. Shadow of courage.
You ready? See how I'm just going to go with this? I'm going to go with this. Where's perfectionist Patty when I need her.
Number three the Fortress of Control.
The Shadow of Confidence.
This realm builds walls of perfectionism, doubt, and comparison. It's rigid, calculated, and ruled by the fear of failure.
Are we having fun yet?
Imposter Irene she doesn't believe she's qualified, no matter how much he's done.
Doubtful. Dave he questions everything, especially himself.
Paralysis by uncertainty, and finally, comparison. Carl Constantly measuring himself against others and always comparing. Coming up short, these nine characters aren't enemies in the traditional sense. They're protective, trying to keep you safe.
But their safety comes at the cost of your growth.
Over the coming weeks, we'll explore how to recognize them, work with them, and ultimately transform them into allies on your journey towards clarity, courage, and confidence.
Which one of these sounds most familiar to you?
I know we encompass many of them. Which one of them stands out the most?
Drop it in the comments. I'd love to hear which realm you've been wandering through lately. To recap, the Storm of Chaos, Shadow of Clarity, the Cocoon of Comfort, the Shadow of Courage or the Fortress of Control, the Shadow of Confidence.
I'm Bradley Schrobiner. This has been the Repossible Podcast and Thursday Thunder. Let's talk more about it next week. Don't forget to leave your comment with your favorite villain, or least favorite villain in the realm you currently exist in, or sometimes exist in and want to get out of. Thanks for watching. See you next week.
Hey, Pip, how about your father? Pip Naughty from Chair Numbers? More, eh, Pips.
