[00:00:02] Change comes after peace. [00:00:06] You don't earn peace by changing your life. You change your life by making peace with it. [00:00:14] You might think that once your life changes, then you'll finally feel peace. But what if it's the other way around? What if peace comes first and that's what makes the change possible? [00:00:29] I've got one final Thursday thunder to you from Bali. And it's not just about being here. It's about how I got here and how you might get to your next phase by seeing your now in a whole new way. [00:00:46] A few years ago, I wrote in my journal that I wanted to go to Bali. I visualized it, I planned it, I observed, obsessed over it. And it didn't happen. [00:00:55] Not then. [00:00:56] But now I'm here. Not because I finally figured it out, not because I forced it or faked it, but because I made peace with where I was. [00:01:08] And today I want to talk about something that sounds backwards, maybe even infuriating, but I believe it's a secret to just about everything. [00:01:20] Peace doesn't come after change. [00:01:24] Change comes after peace. [00:01:28] There's a line from Abraham Hicks that sticks with me and honestly used to drive me batty. [00:01:34] You can move into the next phase of your life quickly, easily, just as soon as you're okay with where you are now. [00:01:48] And my first reaction. [00:01:50] No way. I'm not okay with where I am. That's why I want to change. [00:01:56] But then, here's the catch. [00:01:58] If you're vibrating at not enough, if you're living your life at not enough, you'll keep getting more not enough. [00:02:07] If you're angry at the present, life doesn't rush to bring you a gift. Why? [00:02:14] Because peace isn't the reward. [00:02:17] Peace is the key. [00:02:21] Let's read that quote one more time. [00:02:23] You can move into the next phase of your life quickly and easily. [00:02:31] Just as soon as you're okay with where you are now. [00:02:36] Ouch. [00:02:39] Why is it so hard now? Don't get me wrong. This is hard. It's one of the most natural things in the world to hate where you are and long for the next phase. You think I'll be happy when I earn more? I'll relax when I'm there. I'll be confident once I've succeeded. [00:03:00] But the truth I keep discovering and honestly resisting is this. [00:03:07] Nothing changes until you make peace with now. [00:03:15] The preface in one in my one project, I put a lot of focus on the epilogue. The future you living out your word, owning it, embodying it, living your future life. [00:03:30] But this week in Bali, I realized. We need to talk more about the preface. [00:03:35] The preface is right now, where you are before the transformation, before the clarity, before the magic. [00:03:44] And here's the thing. If you skip the preface, the story won't make sense. You can't regret your beginning and still arrive with integrity. [00:03:56] You have to bless the starting point, even. Even if it's messy. You have to stop fighting A before you get to B. [00:04:06] And you can't C C until you let yourself B. [00:04:13] B. [00:04:16] So, yeah, I'm here in Bali, but I didn't get here until I stopped needing to be here, until I found peace in the life I was already living. Then somehow it opened up. [00:04:34] So where are you right now? And can you just for a moment say, I'm okay here? [00:04:42] Not because it's the dream, not because it's perfect, but because this is where it starts. This is your preface, and it's beautiful even if it's unfinished. [00:04:54] Peace doesn't come after change. [00:04:57] Change comes after peace. [00:05:01] This is my final Thursday Thunder from Bali, but make it your first moment of peace. [00:05:09] So, digging into the Repossible tagline, who will you be next? [00:05:19] This is Bradley Charbonneau. The Thursday Thunder Weekly video address and the Repossible podcast coming to you from Sanur in Bali on the coast. It's my last couple days here and I don't really want to leave. [00:05:38] However, I have to admit, I miss creating. [00:05:43] I've been with my family for a month, and as much as I love them, I love creating and I need to create. And I believe we are all creators and I would love to help you become that next version of you. [00:06:01] Friend of mine and I joke about the best version of yourself. [00:06:05] And I'm not talking about the best version of yourself. I'm talking about the next version version of yourself. Because if it were the best version of yourself, then what would you be after? That, by definition, it wouldn't be as good. [00:06:18] No, I'd like to be better every single year. So I just want the next version of you. [00:06:24] You can learn more about the One Project at repossible.com 1o m e and I'll see you there. I've got lots of options. Got a book. I've got to do it yourself. I've got a team, I've got a weekend. I've got an in person, I've got an online group. [00:06:38] Whatever. It's about the action. [00:06:41] But as we learned today, it's also about the peace accepting. The peace accepting with all the regrets and road bumps and detours that got you where you are today. [00:06:54] Hear this. And I'm saying this to myself just as loudly. [00:06:59] Where you are today is exactly where you need to be. [00:07:08] Signing off from Bali. I'll see you next week. Bye for now.
