Greetings from Driebergen,
We’re gearing up for the next run of “How to Write Your Worst Book Ever” and I’m already getting the questions about fear, self-doubt, and that old friend: Writer’s Block.
I’ve had it. We’ve all had it. That &*%$#@^ blinking cursor that’s waiting for us to mess it all up with the very first word.
So what do we do?
It doesn’t seem to happen with talking. Most of us can talk. We can talk about anything.
One of the tactics in the program is to “talk your book” or even just talking about a simple idea. Just words out of your mouth.
Want to know another secret?
Dialogue. Conversation. Questions and answers.
That’s the kind of stuff we’re doing in “How to Write Your Worst Book Ever.”
It’s funny how, secretly, stealthily, and sneakily, it’s not really all that much about writing a book and it’s more about breaking through, getting over ourselves, and daring to … speak our story.
Can you talk?
Then you can tell your story. Or get your idea out there.
Oh, and why do that?
Because, IMHO, breaking through with letting the idea free from the confines of your mind is one of the secret ingredients to happiness, purpose, and joy.
Just saying.
SAYING. TALKING.
See you next week.
Bradley
It’s very Silicon Valley, very hard (and very easy at the same time), and is the core of the Worst Book Ever success.
